Lube is one of the easiest ways to make sex more enjoyable, particularly if you struggle with loosening up. There are three main kinds of lubricant – water based, oil based, and silicone based.

Its safe for use in the body, and won’t damage your toys – however might be a little lightweight for some.
Silicone lube stays wet for longer, meaning its great for longer sessions, and is better than water based lube for when you’re getting into a tighter spot, as you would when having anal sex. However, it can be noted that silicone lube does not react well to silicone sex toys – it will start to erode the material, leaving it prone to collecting bacteria (no thanks!).
When it comes to any kind of anal play, the thicker the lube the better. As this area doesn’t have a natural lubricant (like the vagina), it’s super important to remember to lube up to avoid doing damage.
